The Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show recently reported a 25 percent increase in opening day attendance, 11 percent cumulatively, at the May 29-June 1 event. Held at the Paris Hotel & Casino during Las Vegas’ Jewelry Week, the four day tradeshow featured the largest selection of antique jewelry and watches from nearly 400 dealers. The event is hosted by U.S. Antique Shows, the world’s leading producer of indoor antique shows.
“The improvements made to this year’s show was largely based on feedback we received from our exhibitors,” says Dan Darby, Emerald Expositions vice president and U.S. Antique Shows general manager. “The redesign of the show floor, attendee badging system and thoroughly vetting attendees who can access the show proved successful. We received an overwhelming amount of positive remarks from both dealers and attendees who felt that the new show floor design was easier to navigate and shop. As a result of these incredibly successful changes, we had more than 90 percent of dealers renew their booths for 2015.”

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jun 9, 2014) - The AGEM Index reported a month-to-month decline for the third consecutive month in May 2014. During the period, the index fell 2.56 points (-1.4 percent) compared to April 2014, reaching a composite index of 178.92. The index has now reported monthly declines in four of the first five months of the year. The latest performance is attributable to eight of the 16 global gaming equipment manufacturers witnessing declines in stock price in May 2014 when compared to April 2014. In addition, stock prices for two companies (IGT and INLOT) remained flat compared to the prior period. The armed man and woman who opened fired at a Las Vegas pizzeria and a Walmart killing three before fatally shooting themselves were reportedly kicked off Cliven Bundy’s ranch.
The married couple's neighbor, 22-year-old Brandon Monroe, said they were “weird people.”
Monroe said he thought they used methamphetamine. He claims he didn't see the female as often as the male suspect. He said the man would ramble about conspiracy theories and appeared to be “militant.” Authories found the couple was in possession of white supremacist paraphernalia.
The man told Monroe he had been kicked off Cliven Bundy’s ranch 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Review Journal reported.
Bundy’s wife, Carol Bundy, told the Review Journal that the standoff on her ranch against federal authorities and the Las Vegas shooting aren’t linked.
“I have not seen or heard anything from the militia and others who have came to our ranch that would, in any way, make me think they had an intent to kill or harm anyone,” Carol Bundy said.
No motive for the attack has been determined.
Officers Alyn Beck, 41, and Igor Soldo, 31, were shot and killed while eating lunch at CiCi’s Pizza at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, according to Sheriff Doug Gillespie.
“It’s a tragic day,” Gillespie said. “We have lost two officers with young families.”
Witnesses told investigators that one of the shooters yelled, “This is the start of a revolution!” before shooting police.
They left the pizza parlor and headed to a Walmart across the street, where they shot and killed a woman.
The female shooter then shot and killed the male suspect before taking her own life.
Gillespie said, "we will have a community to police, and well still have a community to protect. We will be out there doing it with our heads held high, but with an emptiness in our hearts."

Las Vegas Shooting Suspects Allegedly Espoused White Supremacy
June 9 (Reuters) - Law enforcement officials are looking into whether a man and woman who killed two Las Vegas police officers and a third person before killing themselves Sunday had links to the white supremacy movement, according to a report on Monday.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal, citing city law enforcement sources, said investigators discovered paraphernalia associated with white supremacists, including swastika symbols, but it was not clear where the items was found.
The newspaper's report also said the shooters covered the officers' bodies with something featuring the Revolutionary War-era Gadsden flag. The yellow flag, which contains an image of a coiled snake and the words "Don't tread on me," is associated with the conservative Tea Party political movement.
Representatives for the Las Vegas Police Department said they could not confirm the report. A morning news conference is planned later on Monday.
The armed man and woman shouted about a "revolution" before opening fire and killing the two uniformed patrol officers, Alyn Beck, 41, and Igor Soldo, 31, who were eating lunch in a CiCi's pizza parlor, police said on Sunday.
One of the two officers managed to return gunfire before the suspects fled to an adjacent Wal-Mart, where they killed a bystander inside the front door, then exchanged gunfire with police who pursued them further into the store, Clark County Sheriff Douglas Gillespie said.
Moments later, the female suspect shot her accomplice to death, then took her own life, Gillespie told reporters on Sunday.
