AAHRPP Accredits Four More Research Organizations: One in Taiwan and Three in U.S. WASHINGTON, Dec. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs today announced that four more research organizations have attained AAHRPP accreditation. They include an academic medical center in Taiwan and an independent institutional review board and two public research universities in the U.S.

Volunteers Work with Local Charities, Take Part in Days of Service

· Houston team members helped sort and assemble 51 food boxes for the Houston Food Bank for community members in need of nutritious meals.

· Las Vegas team members volunteered to deliver toys for the Toy and Joy Shop for The Salvation Army; collected food for the Gift of Hope project with the Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada; and, collected needed items to support the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

· Minneapolis team members volunteered a day of service to help the Feed My Starving Children local chapter. Volunteers assisted with the collection and assembly of meal shipments to help feed undernourished children in developing nations around the world.

· Northern California team members worked with The Gathering Inn and collected warm bedding for the homeless community and gifts for low-income children of Placer County. Volunteers also collected more than 50 toys to benefit the Toys for Tots local chapter.

· Orlando team members partnered with the Christian HELP Organization to collect gift items for children of unemployed or underemployed parents while they are struggling to find jobs.

· Phoenix team members prepared food packages for local children through the Feed My Starving Children organization; delivered warm clothing and bedding to the local homeless population working with Serving the Homeless – Parks & Pets; and collected diapers and baby items to benefit pregnant and parenting women at Maggie’s Place. Phoenix volunteers also participated in Operation Gratitude, writing letters to express appreciation to members of the military for their service.

· Seattle team members volunteered a day of service to help Northwest Harvest Food Bank fight hunger by assembling 4,400 pounds of pasta, which provided 3,385 meals to those in need.

· Southern California offices volunteered their time and provided assistance to collect toys for children in the foster care system for Five Acres ensuring the kids have a present to open this holiday season. Volunteers also organized a food drive for Feeding America to provide immediate hunger relief in San Bernardino County.

· South Florida team members led a collection drive for children through The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. In its fifth year partnering with the organization, office associates collected toys for more than 75 underprivileged children in need this year.

· Tampa team members led a holiday collection drive for children experiencing abuse, neglect and homelessness in the Tampa community with the help Youth and Family Alternatives, Inc. Donated items will be presented on Christmas morning and will include personal items, clothes, school supplies and toys for children aged 10 to 17.

(“SDI”) (CSE: SDZ) (OTCQB: SDEV), an emerging non-lethal technology company, has issued a progress update on the Byrna™ HD non-lethal personal security device development timeline and new 2019 commercial launch initiatives.

SDI has conducted development testing using 3D printed prototypes and recently began the process of validation testing of the Byrna HD using production parts. Development testing has led to modifications which will enhance the performance and life of the personal security device. Additionally, SDI has decided to offer the Byrna in three more colors: black, desert tan and camouflage in addition to the original safety orange. 

The final phase of validation testing that commenced in December 2018 requires factory production parts and factory production models. Due to the upcoming holiday calendar, a key supplier advised the company that several custom part deliveries expected in December 2018 will not be available until January 2019, pushing back the final validation testing phase by several weeks.

The company is planning the commercial launch of the Byrna HD to coincide with the beginning of Speedweek in Daytona Beach, Florida under its previously announced partnership with Rick Ware Racing in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series.
