Stockholm (PRWEB) August 14, 2013

Ingate® Systems, a leading provider of Enterprise Session Border Controllers (E-SBCs) that enable SIP communications such as SIP trunking and Unified Communications beyond the protected enterprise network, today announced that Ingate CEO Karl Stahl and President Steven Johnson will participate in ITEXPO Las Vegas, the world’s largest and best-attended communications and technology trade show and conference. ITEXPO will be held at Mandalay Bay August 27-29, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Stahl will speak at “Service Providers: Smart Ecosystem Facilitators or Dumb Pipes?” on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, sharing insights on how real-time traffic, both SIP- and WebRTC-based, requires dump pipes to be a bit smarter, providing quality – prioritized traffic – over the Internet and OTT.

“That is the Internet+ model,” said Stahl, “which will allow users to finally get global multimedia communication with telepresence quality and allow service providers to earn on providing something more valuable than raw data bandwidth, when traffic over the separate telephone networks will vanish.”

Also on the 28th, Johnson will speak at “Enabling the Internet for Real-Time Communications,” which looks at new Internet-based communications technologies such as WebRTC and whether current Internet access is up to delivering high quality real-time communication to the enterprise. With data-crowded networks, future Internet access also needs to deliver prioritized traffic for real-time communication. E-SBC-like firewalls can classify SIP and WebRTC traffic to be prioritized over an Internet+ network.

Johnson will also speak at “SBCs – A Must for Your Enterprise IP Network,” discussing how the Enterprise Session Border Controller has become a key component of the enterprise. Currently SBCs are predominantly used for SIP trunking, connecting Unified Communications solutions and IP-PBXs to carriers’ VoIP services. The E-SBC can also enable global multimedia real-time communication. Also, WebRTC will put new requirements on the E-SBC. This session will be held August 29.

“After ten years of using SIP for VoIP networks, replicating ‘plain-old telephone service’ or POTS service over separate telephone networks, peering the old TDM way, carriers must now utilize the bandwidth, reliability and global reach of the Internet to carry real-time multimedia communication, both SIP- and WebRTC-based,” said Stahl. “Multimedia communications just need added quality and the meter at the delivery point, so the more valuable real-time traffic can be charged separately from unprioritized data traffic.”

“It is time to enable the built-in quality to allow both SIP- and WebRTC-based delivery of high-quality global multimedia communication to be the continuation of the telephony service,” said Johnson.

Ingate, with its industry-leading Ingate Firewall® and Ingate SIParator® E-SBCs, has been driving global Unified Communication since the emergence of the SIP standard in early 2000.

Now in its 15th season, Ingate hosts the SIP Trunking-UC Seminars at ITEXPO, an educational series presented by visionaries in the telecommunications industry. This season Ingate’s seminar will also include several sessions about WebRTC, what it will mean for enterprises and carriers and how it will integrate with SIP trunking and Unified Communications.

The schedule, speakers and more information on the SIP Trunking-UC Seminars can be found at http://itexpo.tmcnet.com/sip-trunking-workshop/vegas-2013/ .

At ITEXPO Las Vegas, executives, technology buyers, sellers, resellers and manufacturers from companies of all sizes and industries will assemble to forge new business partnerships, collaborate and learn together and from one another. Dozens of conferences sessions, keynotes and panels will be focused on helping attendees move their businesses forward.
