Harry Reid to Asian Chamber of Commerce: I'm Having Trouble 'Keeping My Wongs Straight' On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) joked to the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce that he was having trouble "keeping my Wongs straight."

Had a Republican said something similar, Democrats and the mainstream media would have played the race card, as they do even when it is unwarranted.

“I don’t think you’re smarter than anybody else, but you’ve convinced a lot of us you are,” Reid also told the audience. According to an America Rising video, Reid then told the audience as he was about to walk off the stage, “One problem that I’ve had today is keeping my Wongs straight.”

Reid appeared at the event to ask the Asian Chamber of Commerce to support Lucy Flores, a Democrat running for lieutenant governor. But the group instead endorsed her rival, Republican Mark Hutchinson, who is supported by Republican Governor Brian Sandoval.

As the Las Vegas Review-Journal noted, the race for lieutenant governor is important because Sandoval, who is coasting to reelection, may challenge Reid in 2016 and possibly not finish out his second term.

In 2010, Reid infamously apologized for having privately referred to then-Sen. Barack Obama during the 2008 campaign as a "light-skinned" African American "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." Reported by Breitbart 1 hour ago.
