The sale of Desert Pines Golf Club to a privately held company was finalized on August 1st. The popular Las Vegas golf course is also under new management.
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) August 19, 2014
As of August 1st, 2014, Desert Pines Golf Club of Las Vegas is no longer owned or operated by Walters Golf. In the recent sale, the daily fee golf course was purchased by a privately held company. The new ownership has contracted a Dallas, Texas based golf management company to oversee the facility. The new owners plan to implement a multi-million dollar capital improvement initiative over the next eighteen months.
Desert Pines Golf Club opened in 1996 and is a Dye Designs course. It features thousands of mature pines, undulating fairways, and a design meant to emulate Sandhill style courses from the Carolinas. The course also features a two tiered climate controlled practice facility that is the largest of its kind in the Las Vegas Valley. Desert Pines' restaurant, Duffer's, will continue to operate for lunch, catering, weddings and events. Since its opening, the course was owned and operated by Walters Golf until the transfer of ownership was finalized on August 1st, 2014.
“Though we no longer own or manage the course, we are proud of the legacy we're leaving behind. We could not be happier with the new owners, and we're confident the new management will continue to elevate the quality of golf in Las Vegas,” said Bill Walters, owner and CEO of Walters Golf.
Walters Golf still owns and operates two premium daily fee championship golf courses in Las Vegas, NV; Bali Hai Golf Club on the Las Vegas Strip, and Royal Links Golf Club, a course that offers a collection of signature holes from British Open rotation courses including Royal Liverpool, St. Andrews and Royal Troon. A Walters Golf representative had this message to convey, “Walters Golf wants to thank all of our valued guests and assure them that any Vegas Preferred benefits they may have will gladly be honored at Royal Links and Bali Hai.”
