Earlier this year, Nas announced he would commemorate the 20th anniversary of Illmatic with a variety of activities including a tour and a documentary about the making of the album. The tour will begin October 2, while the documentary, Nas: Time is Illmatic, will receive a theatrical release on October 1 and an on demand/iTunes release on October 3. A screening of the documentary will precede his performance at most of the shows. Nas will perform Illmatic in full at each stop.
