New York, New York (PRWEB) July 21, 2014
Foreword Reviews announced the winners of its annual IndieFab Book of the Year Awards for the best indie books of 2013. Representing hundreds of independent and university presses of all sizes, the winners were selected after months of editorial deliberation over more than 1,500 entries in 60 categories. The winners exemplify the best work coming from today’s indie authors and publishers.
Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention awards, as well as Editor’s Choice Prizes for Fiction and Nonfiction, were determined by a panel of librarians and booksellers and announced at a special program during the American Library Association Annual Conference in Las Vegas on June 27, 2014. Demos Health is thrilled to share that The Sandwich Generation’s Guide to Eldercare: Concrete Advice to Simultaneously Care for Your Kids and Your Parents (Demos Health, October 2013) was honored with the Gold award in the category of Family & Relationships and Sexuality and Dementia: Compassionate & Practical Strategies for Dealing with Unexpected or Inappropriate Behaviors (Demos Health, December 2013) was honored with the Silver award in the category of Psychology.

Rumrill, Jr. PhD, CRC, three experts with extensive professional and personal experience with eldercare, is a practical, accessible, and comprehensive guide to the legal, financial, emotional and daily living challenges of caring for aging parents while raising your own family.
Sexuality and Dementia, by Doug Wornell, MD, offers advice and support for both family members and professional caretakers who are confronted by the troubling, heartbreaking, and often isolating ways dementia affects personality, romantic relationships, sexuality, and intimacy.
