LEID Products to showcase the iLibrary System – an innovative self-service express library solution - to show librarians how to maintain budget while expanding library services and hours to patrons in bordering communities.

Auburn Hills, MI (PRWEB) June 25, 2014

LEID Products, LLC, the leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced it will attend the 2014 American Libraries Association Annual Conference, taking place June 26 – July 1 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The iLibrary System is a cost effective solution that provides library services without the cost and burden of traditional brick and mortar library locations or book mobiles. LEID Products will showcase its iLibrary System in booth 1256.

The oldest and largest library association in the world The American Library Association, holds its' Annual Conference & Exhibition each summer. As libraries continue to transform to meet society’s changing needs, the conference offers a collaborative environment for librarians to learn how to be more effective, save money, and better serve patrons.

In today’s convenience driven world, a primary challenge for libraries is to provide patrons with better access to library materials; while library budgets remain restrictive. LEID Products iLibrary System is an economical solution empowering libraries to meet convenience needs by offering self-service express library locations which provide access to library materials 24/7. The iLibrary System is made up of LEID’s tamperproof Electronic Modular Access Units and the new and improved iLibrary Kiosk. Patrons browse and order materials online or directly through the iLibrary Kiosk. When reserving materials, the patron is prompted to select the pick-up location of their choice. The patron will receive notification of delivery and can pick up materials from the system’s electronic lockers at any time by swiping their library card and/or entering a code into the keypad.

iLibrary Systems are set up outside the library to extend hours or in locations remote from the actual library, which helps alleviate issues related to a library being located too far away from a patron in the community. The iLibrary self-service solution is an innovative and affordable option to provide library access where demand is insufficient to support a traditional 'brick and mortar' library.

“The iLibrary System has a proven track record of success,” said John Kormanik, LEID Products senior account manager. “Most of the communities that have implemented this system have placed orders for additional systems based on patron’s positive response, and the low cost of acquisition and ownership for the library.”
