Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) May 01, 2014
An attorney with one of Minnesota’s top civil litigation firms, the Minneapolis law firm of O’Meara, Leer, Wagner and Kohl, announced the appointment today to a national Medicare set-aside board—a move that Firm leaders say will significantly benefit clients. Firm Attorney Allison Haley is one of three newly-elected board directors for the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals (NAMSAP). The nonprofit educates Medicare professionals, advocates for a more efficient and effective Medicare Secondary Payer process in Washington, participates in the federal rule-making process and helps draft Medicare-related legislation. The law firm of O’Meara, Leer, Wagner and Kohl was founded 40 years ago, gaining a national reputation for its enviable track record in business, commercial, education, workers’ compensation and insurance-related litigation.
“Allison Haley’s three-year appointment is a prestigious one and well deserved,” said Shamus O’Meara, Managing Shareholder for the Firm. “This new role gives the firm national exposure in this specialized and complex practice area.”
Haley was chosen among seven candidates from around the country being considered by the Alliance’s national membership for its Board of Directors. “It’s very exciting,” Haley said. “We’re going to generate effective legislation and help guide the federal rule-making process.” Haley’s appointment begins next week at NAMSAP’s national conference in Las Vegas, where she will also serve as a presenter. Haley has been a member of NAMSAP since 2007, and has served as the chair of the organization’s legislative committee.
