WhatsYourPrice.com, the world’s first dating-auction site, reports that more than $75 million in online dates were unclaimed by women in 2013. Accordingly, the site analyzed over 500,000 declined offers, determined the monetary value of a neglected first date, and ranked the cities in America with the most selective women.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 18, 2014

Love may not cost a thing, but rejecting it could cost you millions.

WhatsYourPrice.com, the world’s first dating-auction site, discovered that single women are more selective when online dating compared to their real-life search for love. The site tallied 529,679 offers made by male suitors that were either declined or neglected by women in 2013, which left $75,439,282 on the table.

WhatsYourPrice utilized its bid-for-a-date system, tallying the monetary value of all neglected offers and dividing them by the amount of offers, which determined “The Cost of Saying No.” According to the total volume and value of these offers, a rejected first date in the US leaves an average of $142 on the table.

The site also analyzed all offer locations and ranked the cities with the pickiest women according to “The Cost Of Saying No” for each major city. According to the results, San Francisco has the pickiest women, with a neglected first date valued at $150.

The 5 Cities With The Pickiest Women (Based on 529,679 Unaccepted First Dates):

1.) San Francisco

The Cost of Saying No: $150.68

“Online dating is designed to broaden a single’s perspective and introduce them to options that surpass proximity and preference,” says Brandon Wade, Founder and CEO of WhatsYourPrice.com. “The ‘Cost of Saying No’ is a wake-up call to women who have yet to date outside their comfort zone. Clearly, picky women have much more to lose than just love.”
