Later this afternoon, Hrabowski will serve as the featured speaker at NASFAA’s interactive Diversity Caucus where he will share his personal story of success. His brief retrospective on how he achieved his goals and overcame obstacles will be followed by a question-and-answer session with conferees.
NASFAA President Justin Draeger will outline NASFAA’s public policy positions in a general session on Monday morning. In the last year, NASFAA’s leaders have been involved in several advocacy campaigns on student loan indebtedness and interest rates and research projects aimed at simplifying and strengthening the integrity of the student aid programs. Joining Draeger will be aid directors who chaired several NASFAA task forces on reauthorization of the Higher Education Act, student loan indebtedness, consumer information and award letters, and reimagining student aid design and delivery.
