Tinnitus company offers devices, treatments to help ringing in the ears.
Westminster, Colo. (PRWEB) March 05, 2014
Neuromonics, Inc., manufacturer and distributor of clinically proven tinnitus treatment devices, will participate in two additional industry conferences during the first quarter of 2014.
1. March 10-12: Joint Defense Veterans Audiology Conference (The Tropicana – Las Vegas)
Booth No. 25
The conference is a joint meeting of the executive and education committees of the Association of VA (Veterans Affairs) Audiologists and the Military Audiology Association. The topic of tinnitus – often referred to as “ringing in the ears” – is especially significant in the military, with more than 34 percent of returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan suffering from the condition.
2. March 26-29: AudiologyNOW! 2014 (Orange County Convention Center West Building – Orlando)
AudiologyNOW!, the American Academy of Audiology’s annual convention, is the largest gathering of, by, and for audiologists in the world. Neuromonics will host a clinician event in Orlando.
The company also exhibited at the American Hearing Aid Associates (AHHA) Convention 2014 last month in Texas.
Neuromonics’ tinnitus treatment devices
At the conferences, Neuromonics will discuss its family of products, all offering offer relief to tinnitus sufferers.· Neuromonics Oasis™ - The FDA-cleared, patented Oasis, considered the gold standard in tinnitus treatment, offers long-term, significant relief for individuals with severe tinnitus.
· Neuromonics Haven™ - The customized mid-range device is a management tool offering situational relief for tinnitus symptoms.
· Neuromonics Sanctuary™ - The management tool works with pre-programmed profiles for on-demand relief.
Neuromonics products use calming, relaxing music embedded with a neural stimulus that interacts with the tinnitus perception, explains Curtis Amann, vice president of marketing and sales for Neuromonics. The music engages the auditory pathways to promote neural plastic changes. Over time, these changes help the brain to filter out the tinnitus perception, reducing tinnitus disturbance and providing long-term relief from symptoms. The compact devices are simple to use, function much like familiar consumer music players, and fit easily into patients’ lifestyles.
