Don’t let the weather ruin a Las Vegas vacation. EarlyVegas.com lists 5 ways to stay cool this summer.

Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) July 12, 2013

Las Vegas is one of the hottest tourism destinations in the country—literally. However, there are more things to do in Las Vegas during the summer months than any other time of the year. And with new Las Vegas headliner shows, delicious food and unbeatable nightlife, there's never been a better time to plan a Las Vegas vacation.

1. Las Vegas Pool Party
The summer heat is the perfect reason to get wet n’ wild at one of the popular Las Vegas hotel pools. With more pool parties popping up around Las Vegas each year, the scene has exploded with celebrity DJs, poolside bars and VIP cabanas. Rehab, the original pool party at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary. This summer, Rehab hosts world famous DJs, bikini contests and luxury daybeds. Or a newer dayclub such as Wet Republic at MGM is another popular pool party. Sipping a daiquiri in a submerged poolside bar in probably the most stylish way to cool off in Las Vegas.

2. Las Vegas Show
Many Las Vegas shows run daily in Las Vegas. On a hot summer day, take in one of the best headliner shows on the strip from the comfort of a dark, cool theater. A new Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas show is “One,” the thrilling Michael Jackson tribute at Mandalay Bay Resort. The critically praised show has an especially refreshing feature—snow. While the sun burns strong outside, audience members will be inside an air conditioned theater enjoying authentic snowflakes.

3. Ice Bar
Las Vegas heat can make tourists want to stick their heads in a freezer. Well, now travelers can party in one. Minus 5 Ice Bar is a popular Las Vegas bar that is completely made of ice. Patrons are outfitted with eskimo-like gear and can enjoy specialty cocktails and a “cool” atmosphere. Minus 5 has two Las Vegas locations at Monte Carlo and Mandalay Bay. Nice to know the drinks will always be chilled.

4. Cool Treats
Nothing beats ice cream on a sunny Las Vegas day. Head to Serendipity 3 Cafe at Caesars Palace to enjoy some of the best ice cream in the city. Serendipity has a $1,000.00 Golden Opulence Sundae, but one of the more reasonable sundaes should cool patrons down too. Or drop by Sweet Chill inside ARIA Resort and Casino. The stylish gelato shop features pastry and coffee as well as stylish decor and a convenient city center location.

5. Preparation
Make sure travel vehicles are in good condition. Don’t want to be stuck on the road with an overheated engine or a broken AC. Of course, Vegas is all about the drinks, but also be sure to drink plenty of water. Las Vegas will always be a desert, no matter how many fancy air conditioned hotels are on the Strip. Plan for the heat by bringing cool clothes, sunscreen and a hat.
