Ahead of official publication of their awards list in their March issue, Golfweek Announced, Royal Links Golf Club as one of the "Best Courses to Golf" for the 2014 awards list.
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) February 28, 2014
Las Vegas golf course, Royal Links Golf Club, was just awarded the prestigious "Best Courses to Golf" Award by Golfweek. The award is given out to the top courses in each state by a panel of golf experts. The award will be officially announced in the March issue of Golfweek Magazine.
The award factors in layout, price per round, and overall experience to determine the best courses to play around the country. The total number of courses awarded in each state varies depending on course supply, the state’s population and the level of play.
Previous awards for Royal Links Golf Club include Four-Star Recognition for "Places to Play", by Golf Digest from 2009-2013, the Trip Advisor "Certificate of Excellence", and numerous local accolades.
Royal Links Golf Club General Manager, Charles Bombard, had this to say, “We’re excited to be a unique part of the Las Vegas golf landscape. This award re-enforces what we have been working hard to do; offer unsurpassed customer service, great conditions and a memorable golf experience our guests will rave about.”
Royal Links Golf Club is designed by Dye Designs, and replicates holes featured on British Open Rotation, including hole no. 8 from this year’s Open at Royal Liverpool, Royal Troon’s No. 8 “Postage Stamp” and St. Andrews Old Course’s No. 17 “Road Hole”.
Bringing golf from the British Isles also means bringing a unique style of golf called “links play”. Links play favors a running game where golfers opt to hit the ball low and have it roll or bounce great distances, often onto large greens. Tiger Woods holds a course record 67.
Royal Links Golf Club is owned and operated by Walters Golf, which has two additional courses in Las Vegas, Desert Pines Golf Club and Bali Hai Golf Club. Royal Links is situated on the East side of Las Vegas approximately 8.9 miles from the Strip. They are open to the public year round, and early booking is encouraged.
As a facility they mainly cater to Las Vegas visitors, but they are also a popular golf course for Clark county residents. Reported by PRWeb 7 hours ago.
