To serve students in need as they head back to school, Invitation Homes is partnering with local community organizations to donate 1,000 backpacks filled with 47,000 school supplies for school districts across the country.

Invitation Homes associates are donating and assembling the backpacks for delivery to students in partnership with community organizations. Invitation Homes operates in 750 school districts across Atlanta, Carolinas, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Nashville, Northern California, Orlando, Phoenix, Seattle, South Florida/Miami, Tampa, and Southern California.

Invitation Homes is partnering with Community Partners Dallas, Charles Rice Learning Center, Kids in Need Foundation, and Children’s Home Society.

This initiative is volunteer-based and encourages all Invitation Homes employees to participate in the nationwide contest. Each office is competing to collect the most backpacks and school supplies to win a prize. Every backpack will include pencils, pens, colored pencils, colored markers, glue sticks, as well as a pencil sharpener, notebook, and a pair of scissors. With these supplies, children will feel well prepared for their first day of school.

Using the latest model of Tanita's body composition scale, along with wearable activity trackers equipped with communications functionality, blood pressure measurement devices, and the internet, this program offers everything organizations need to establish an effective and comprehensive group health promotion program.
