DALLAS, March 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Symphony RetailAI, the leading global provider of Artificial Intelligence-enabled decision platforms, solutions and customer-centric insights that drive validated growth for retailers and CPG manufacturers, today announced that in the last 12 months the organization has accelerated its growth by increasing its customer base, bringing innovative and industry-specific AI solutions to market, onboarding key leaders, and delivering thought leadership through research reports and events.“We’ve been a leader in providing customer-centric marketing, merchandising and supply chain solutions to fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) retailers and brand manufacturers for many years,” said Dr. Pallab Chatterjee, Chairman and CEO, Symphony RetailAI. “Our revenues have grown at double the rate of other vendors in our space, and we have continued to attract top talent that share our commitment to leading in retail innovation as reflected in our product capabilities and customer relationships. I’m very excited about the coming year, as we will be launching many more AI-enabled solutions and technology that will have significant impact on the day-to-day lives of practitioners in grocery and their ability to compete with the constant disruptions of our industry.”

*Company and customer growth*
Symphony RetailAI was formed in January 2018, by incorporating Symphony GOLD and Symphony EYC as two new divisions. In the last 12 months, the company added more than 125 new customers, expanded and renewed relationships with over 100 current clients, and opened extra offices in India and the UK to support the rapid growth. In addition, its solutions are used to help manage an estimated nine billion SKUs across more than 250,000 stores, support the dispatch of over 1 million warehouse orders each day, and the creation of more than 50 million planograms every year. Symphony RetailAI also holds a deep understanding of 175 million households from $160 billion of grocery retail, and its solutions provide more than 275 million personalized, high-precision targeted offers every month.

Some of its newest customers include Action, Blokker Holding, Dia Group, Giant Eagle, Pague Menos, Smart & Final, Takeoff Technologies, Tom & Co, and TopCo.

*Product innovation *
Symphony RetailAI is bringing AI-enabled solutions to the forefront of FMCG retail, and has developed a unique natural-language speech assistant built on an AI and machine learning foundation, CINDE (*C*onversational *IN*sights and *D*ecision *E*ngine). CINDE is the first and only digital analytic assistant specifically designed for the demands of grocery and hard goods retail. The platform empowers business users through immersive visualization in a prescriptive analytics solution that supports a customer-centric retail approach.

Another key area of innovation over the last year is the development of the Symphony RetailAI Customer 360 platform, a first-of-its-kind interactive customer-data-intelligence system that uses hundreds of shopper attributes for insights beyond just purchasing behavior. Moving well beyond just point-of-sale data, the company builds on this information by appending data elements that add both depth of shopper purchase insights and breadth of shopper profiles. This creates a massive data pool which gives the company’s AI-enabled solutions with machine learning access to uncover customer trends and anomalies.

*Industry leaders *
Key leaders in the retail and artificial intelligence industry joined Symphony RetailAI’s executive team in 2017. Ryan Powell, VP of Merchandising and Category Management, holds extensive industry experience surrounding category management. Matt Kistler, who spent 14 years at Walmart, now serves as EVP Chief Strategy & Client Partner. Dr. Adeel Najmi, Chief Product Officer for CPG 360, was previously Chief Science Officer at JDA Software.

*Thought leadership and industry events*
This year, Symphony RetailAI released Supermarket 2020, announcing the key trends that are forcing rapid changes in the grocery industry, and providing prescriptive information on how the industry can transform itself with a massive re-imagination of supermarkets. Additionally, the company released the findings of its “Customer-Centric Category Management Survey of Retailers.” The survey highlights the willingness of retailers to pursue a customer-centric approach and presents a clear gap between intention and execution, which can be addressed by artificial-intelligence capabilities that synthesize complex data to enable more robust and efficient strategies that drive sales and loyalty.

In 2017, Symphony RetailAI hosted Xcelerate Retail Forums in Paris and Las Vegas, events for senior executives of retailers and consumer packaged goods manufacturers to discuss how organizations must innovate to meet tomorrow’s challenges. Xcelerate saw more than 600 delegates from 156 companies, and 38 countries represented. With its growing success, what began as regional events has now moved to a global caliber. This year’s forum on Oct. 2-4 in Boston will host world-class industry experts and speakers to continue the conversation of innovation in retail, with an emphasis on how AI can help drive higher performance.

“This has been a year of radical change in FMCG and as I’ve met with many of our customers and prospects around the world, I’m reminded of how much evolution has taken place in the development of our solutions,” said Graeme Cooksley CEO & President, Symphony RetailAI, Retail Solutions Division. “This momentum that continues to drive us comes from our close relationships with our customers. We feel their urgency to get it right in terms of developing solutions that enable them to do their jobs better, more easily, and to have the confidence to build strategies based on solid customer and organizational insights.”

*About Symphony RetailAI*

SmartMetric Dared to Imagine and Succeeded in Creating a Credit Card That Uses Biometrics to Bring Greater Protection and Security for Both the Consumer and the Bank

$

NEW YORK, March 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB:SMME) – It started with a dream.  To create a safer and more secure credit card.  Over a decade ago the founder and President/CEO of SmartMetric, Chaya Hendrick realized that credit card fraud would continue to grow exponentially to the point where it would seriously impact card users and become a serious financial burden on card issuers and their merchants. Years before anyone had even thought of using chip cards in the USA, SmartMetric set about to build a fully functional fingerprint scanner that would be used to activate the cards chip that would most importantly fit inside a card the size and thickness of a standard credit card.  It other words, the company set about to achieve what was science fiction at that point, to reduce a complex computer motherboard and its components to a super thin piece of electronics in order to fit a biometric fingerprint scanner inside a credit card.

After many years of research and development with a small yet highly advance team of engineers, SmartMetric achieved what was seen as impossible, a fully operational biometric locked and secure credit card for consumers.

“SmartMetric could have easily released a version of its biometric card a number of years ago that didn’t have its own internal power supply.  This of course would mean the card would have to stay inside a retail card reader while the fingerprint scan takes place.  Making it impossible to use in 99% of ATM’s and of course most restaurants who need to take the card to their cash register.  Instead the company wisely insisted in making sure that its biometric credit card would work across all transaction points for the convenience of consumers,” said today SmartMetric’s President and CEO, Chaya Hendrick.

*“Touch your card and your fingerprint biometrics instantly unlock the card in less than a second.  Safer than a password and so much easier and quicker than entering a PIN,” said Chaya Hendrick.*

The company has recently appointed experienced credit card manufacturers in the United States and South America to bring the leading SmartMetric biometric card to  credit card issuing Banks.  The SmartMetric biometric credit card is being met with a very high level of enthusiasm as the banking industry is recognizing the benefits of having and offering this technology to their customers.

SmartMetric is a United States company with its head office in Las Vegas, Nevada.  It has a team of advanced engineers in Tel Aviv, Israel and has mass manufacturing capacity in various parts of the world.  The company can now manufacture 1 million cards a month and has the capacity to increase this capacity significantly based on product demand.

The SmartMetric biometric card is protected by five (5) recently “issued” patents.  Additional patents are pending.

In one of the largest software transitions within the pawn industry, the United Kingdom’s Albemarle & Bond and Herbert Brown Pawn Stores Launch 115 Shops with New Software Partner Bravo Pawn Systems.

LAS VEGAS (PRWEB) March 30, 2018

In one of the largest software transitions within the pawn industry, Bravo Pawn Systems has successfully implemented 115 Albemarle & Bond and Herbert Brown pawn stores on the Bravo point-of-sale platform.

The transition was a massive undertaking but one that Bravo, the fastest growing software platform for pawnbrokers, was well equipped to handle. Ryan Cable, Manager of Client Success, explains, “This is our first enterprise chain in the UK, which meant new country-specific laws and regulations. Our Customer Success team is trained to support the UK and we are excited for new opportunities.”

Once the team had launched the first few Albemarle & Bond and Herbert Brown shops on Bravo, the process of setting each store up, onboarding and then training ran seamlessly. “Sometimes 7-8 stores were going live a day,” says Cable. Mandi Wirtala, Head Trainer of the project adds, “Part of this business solution is seeing how fast employees adapt to learning to use Bravo and navigate it successfully. It’s been a win-win for everyone.”

Albemarle & Bond and Herbert Brown, one of the United Kingdom’s largest pawnbrokers, were previously using their own proprietary system to manage pawn transactions. “Being able to implement Bravo at an enterprise company was rewarding and incredible on many levels,” says Wirtala. “It is exciting to be a part of Bravo's growth as it moves full steam ahead to provide a viable business solution to pawn stores around the world. Bravo is the wave of the future that fits into the business models of today.”

Hundreds of pawnshop servers crash every year and impact store operations. Bravo is the leading cloud-based pawn software, utilizing Microsoft Azure, making it the safest and most secure environment available. That, coupled with its state-of-the-art features and two pawn specific apps, MobilePawn and Bravo Mobile, makes Bravo a leader in its class.

“Seeing Bravo operate at an enterprise level magnified its forward thinking and innovative qualities,” adds Wirtala.

Tally Mack, CEO of Bravo Pawn Systems, agrees. “Bravo continues to charge ahead with innovation, eCommerce, new applications, mobile, machine learning AI, and best practices that drive efficiency and profits for pawnbrokers.” When asked about the massive migration, she adds, “We’re very pleased Albemarle & Bond and Herbert Brown chose Bravo Pawn Systems for their 115 pawn store operation in the United Kingdom, and we look forward to more pawnshops of all sizes continuing to choose Bravo.”

About Bravo:
Bravo Pawn Systems specializes in SaaS point-of-sale software for the pawn industry. Established in 1988, Bravo POS was designed by pawnbrokers for pawnbrokers.
